The Latest Reports and Publications
The Cuyahoga County Overdose Fatality Review (CCOFR), co-coordinated by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office and Population Health service area of the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, reviews exemplar overdose decedent cases in-depth to identify missed intervention opportunities and facilitate the implementation of public health recommendations to reduce future fatalities.
The DOEIP is a comprehensive annual report that characterizes the epidemiology of drug overdose in Cuyahoga County. Drawing on multiple data systems, the report examines overdose mortality and morbidity across sociodemographic and geographic populations, monitors trends over time, and identifies risk and protective factors associated with drug overdose. These findings provide actionable public health data to guide the planning, implementation, and evaluation of overdose prevention initiatives.
The report examines fetal deaths occurring at 20 weeks gestation or later, identifies contributing medical and social risk factors, explores persistent racial and geographic disparities, and presents recommendations aimed at preventing future losses and improving maternal and infant health outcomes throughout the community.
This report serves as the evaluation report for Phase I of the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Care program. Included in this report are client demographics and utilization data, EHE-Care continuum outcomes, and newly diagnosed outcomes. Timeframe of the report is Fiscal Years 2020-2024.

The Q2 2025 syphilis report documents 175 cases, with April showing the highest activity. Most cases occurred in males and individuals ages 30–34, with significant racial disparities and a 22% HIV co‑infection rate. Seventy percent of cases received treatment.
