Department of Housing and Urban Development Awards City of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Grants for Lead Abatement
CLEVELAND – On Thursday, September 24, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will present the City of Cleveland with a Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant check for $3,714,272 and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health with a Lead Hazard Control Grant check for $3,231,610 to address lead hazard reduction throughout the city and county.
The grant funding announced today will help reduce the number of children, families, and homes that experience lead poisoning in the City of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.
